Daily life Part 2

In our household, the first thing that happens is Pickles.

She keeps us on our toes by waiting to hear us through the closed bedroom door.  When she hears the sounds of getting up, she starts her yowl-hello to let us know she’s ready to join us!

Pickles knows how to be comfortable.  As you can see!

    1. Yes, she doesn’t mind the camera. Funnily enough, when I tried to get the photos of Mittens, she suspected me immediately. She hopped up and trotted away. “You’re not getting me on camera!” she seemed to say. I had to use subterfuge to get these, pretend I was not going to use the camera, and then, flash! – take her photo. Both cats were rescued as kittens from outdoors, and they seem to be super-smart about their surroundings. 🙂 Thank you!

  1. Beautiful Pickles! I guess you’re not superstitious and you don’t ask McDonald’s to remove the pickles from your cheese burger. 🙂 It’s great to get to know you more, my friend. Thank you for sharing. Hugs. xxx

  2. Hi Theresa! I’m kind of glad that I have all of your posts from the last few weeks saved up to read in one (or two) goes. I love this concept of this thread and I’m looking forward to going through them one after each other!
Pickles sounds like my Australian Cattle dog Laylee. She is my canine alarm clock!! If I sleep passed 5:30 she paws at the side of the bed and gives me a nudge with her cold wet nose!! 😀
Toast and Speckle get closed up into their room at night because they get into way too much mischief when they are allowed to roam around while we’re sleeping. Anything that is on any flat surface usually ends up on the floor – many times in pieces. So the best solution is to put them in the spare bedroom which is the “cat room” complete with cat perches placed at each window and plenty of pillows, pet beds, cat toys, litter box, water and food. If I don’t let them out by 7:00 AM they get very miffed! Toast starts batting at the door handle in perfect harmony with Speckle as she sings her morning meow song! 😀
