I am thrilled that my story Equivocation appeared today in Urban Fantasist’s ‘Grievous Angel’ publication!

I am excited to announce my first professional publication credit.  A big thanks to Charles Christian, accomplished SF author in the UK, and editor of Grievous Angel, for using my piece in his publication.

As some of you know, this story (“Equivocation”) is part of my Little Book of Lies project.  Each story in this project has the title of some form of lying – e.g., Mendacity, Prevarication, Falsity, Trickery, etc.  I’ll be sharing more news on that project soon!

Here is a teaser:

You never know what might happen in a borrowed body . . .

I would love to hear thoughts from my regular readers on this particular story.  – If you like the story – or if you did not! – please consider leaving a comment on the story.   Link to the story here.

    1. Thank you, Amy! Yes, I was published before, but it’s been (mumble, mumble) years. (about twenty) It’s not my only goal by any means, but it is lovely to have external (formal) recognition every so often. Having a community of blog readers has made me feel much more connected to an audience outside the Being Published milestone. I’m sure you how that goes…!

    1. Thank you, Anne! I feel very connected to my blog readers as an audience, and it is wonderful to have that affirmation outside of the “Being Published” milestone. Having this credit doesn’t hurt, though! 🙂

      1. Absolutely something to be proud of! We all want to be published and not only online or even self-published… I’m still dreaming of a traditionally published hardbound with my name on it. 🙂

      2. Aw, thank you, Theresa. It means a lot to me that you have faith in me. I have to believe in me, too. Then, work hard. 🙂 We are both going to reach our dreams! Much love and hugs. xxx

    1. Loved it! If I have any criticism at all Theresa it would be that you ALWAYS make me want to know the REST of the story!! I really enjoyed the social commentary with this story. I want to find out if they “learned” anything from the experts that they called in. 🙂

      1. He he, good question, Tami! Maybe a follow-up will come to me. That reminds me, lately I’ve been writing longer stories (2K-3K words), and maybe you and Dahlia and other readers have been inspiring me to go a bit longer. Which is good. Thank you! 🙂

    1. Thank you, yellowfuzzyduck! I am still excited about it, even though it’s been a few days, and even though the story was accepted back in April. In fact, they’ve accepted another one (earlier this month), and it has a social justice theme to it as well, which pleases me. Thank you for your kind note!
