Cinderella has been told and re-told in myriad cultures around the world.  A couple of months ago blogger-writer Anne J. and I challenged the blogging community to come up with their own Cinderella-themed tales.

A big thank you to everyone who wrote blog posts in response to our invitation for Cinderella-themed stories!  We are excited about moving forward with the next phase of the projects.
We have been reviewing the stories and working out a plan for our next steps.  Anne and I are in the process of selecting tales to be included in a potentially-publishable form.  We will be contacting all our submitters in the next few days with more information on their story.

Plus:  We will likely have a new fairy-tale theme challenge in the next few months.  Stay tuned!

  2. Hi Theresa,
I’ve finally finished our shared post and added another one I was working on separately. Can I add them? One was “The Prince’s Story” (very short) and the other was our shared post, which I titled “Cindy’s Nightmare”.

  3. Reblogged this on I think, I say, I do and commented:

Theresa is the “bestest” collaborator ever! I’m a little swarmed with work, business and domestic responsibilities – currently all being so demanding at once – and I know that she is also very busy but she saves us (me, actually) every time – like now – and I am able to re-blog her post.

I can assure you that there’s a lot more of excitement coming and some work, maybe! I am eagerly looking forward to the next weeks.

Thank you once again to all of you who participated!

    As Theresa said, “Stay tuned!”

  4. Thank you, thank you so much for being the most awesome collaborator and co-project manager. 🙂 I hope you don’t feel I’m failing you with my schedule this past week and weekend. I promise that Friday, latest, will be much better. The little one finally got rid of the fever and she even got to go out today. She’s on holiday for almost a month from Friday and my mother is visiting so although mom can be quite demanding at times also as she gets bored and wants to shop all the time, she will be helping out with the little one. I will respond to your email tomorrow and I have to take on the responsibilities I know how to do (contacting the writers) as I will be pretty useless on the more technical stuff but I promise to learn so I can be of assistance. Thank you my dear friend. Much love and hugs. xxx

    1. I have absolutely no worries, Anne! Remember, you did the first pass at selections!!! I’m just catching up. I have a publishing agreement sample and I think most of the email addresses, more later tonight. Relax! This is the best part of collaboration!

      1. After this, I will never do anything on my own again. 🙂 Thank you. Soon, I will have time for those stories that I left hanging. One of them has you definitely as co-writer. The one with me stuck on what to do with Jason.

      2. That’s terrific, Anne! I’m so excited to see it!
Update on Cinderella – I’ll put together a list of the email addresses and some thoughts on a draft email to each of the three categories of submitters, will try to do that later today and send it to you for review. Sound good? 🙂

      3. Always fantabulous! 😆 Thank you. I don’t think I say it enough. I just finished a quote for the President’s birthday and I really don’t think he should be celebrating with the Rand tumbling because of the cabinet reshuffle for personal selfish reason… oops, secret. 😂
