Candidly

PeopleWe all stood behind the white barrier for the photo.  Miles had announced on Friday that we would all be obliged to be in the company photo shoot, on the following MONDAY.

None of us was ready.  I mean, I had planned to get a second MFA in graphic arts and a couple of items published in The Stranger before the photo shoot.

But here it was, Monday, the day of the photo shoot.  We came into the studio wearing our usual work clothes PLUS – jeans and a really good shirt with a collar, no T-shirts.  We did have some pride.

The extraverts stood on the ends, the introverts in the middle behind the everyone else.

Miles was not there.  We relaxed.

Author note:  I’ve been part of those group photo shoots.  You just want to be better prepared.
