You have been randomly selected for an experiment in learning and sleep deprivation.
In the next fifteen weeks, you will be awakened randomly by conversations outside your dorm room door, drunken yelling in the courtyard outside your window, footsteps pounding up and down your dorm room hallway, and loud music playing in the room above or below your room.
In accordance with experimental protocol, these random awakenings will occur between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am, Monday through Friday. Afterward, your reactions will be assessed by classroom activities such as group discussions, written exams, and pop quizzes.
At the end of the experimental period, you will receive an numerical assessment in the form of a percentage grade for the experiment.
Complaints may be directed to the Director of Student Life. Due to the volume of complaints, no personal replies can be provided.
